Born from a love of both dessert and dogs, our first “Sweet and Savory” multi-course chef’s tasting event was inspired by a conversation between Lucky Dog Rescue volunteer Jodie Eisenhardt and award-winning Pastry Chef/Owner of Fluff Bake Bar (and owner of rescue dog, Betty), Rebecca Masson.
The first was held in April, 2010 at Ralph Smith Studios as have three incredible events since. This amazing collaborative effort among Rebecca and her chef-friends (who come from Houston, Austin and beyond) is now held twice each year (every October and April) to wide acclaim and sell-out foodie crowds who are drawn to the brilliant creativity and spirited team effort.
Ticket and raffle sales, Silent Auction proceeds and especially due to the generosity of Ralph Smith, all of our sponsors and contributors along with an all-volunteer crew, our expenses are extraordinarily low. This enables us to fulfill our mission dedicated to providing rescue services, vet care, foster care and adoptive placement to stray and abandoned dogs.
