“Ruby is doing just great. Last night, her first here, she was a little frantic for a few minutes after Kristen left. She seemed compelled to go everywhere, indoors and out, and look for her. She soon settled down and played a lot with Betty, our 40-lb Boston / Pug. Ruby holds her own quite well. She is fitting in with all of us; follows us around; enjoys lap time; drinks and eats just fine. Looks like she and Betty are going to be a good pair. They alternately spend time together and separately when they rest. Ruby is doing well on a big pillow by herself a lot of the time. She’s come a long way from that mud-covered, sick little orphan you found on the roadside.
Kristen, we don’t have the words to adequately say “thank you” for your diligent and thoughtful care of Ruby during her special time of need. You deserve a lot of the credit for the way she came through her treatment with flying colors. We are grateful for all this, and we hope we can stay in touch with you, and we’ll be interested in your future foster care experiences.
Mary Ellen, you were our first responder! Through you, we learned about Lucky Dog Rescue and its mission. We appreciated your guidance through the early days of our getting to know Ruby and your taking time to come visit us in our home. We know you will be instrumental in saving the lives of countless deserving dogs in the future; for us, you are such an important link in the care given to Ruby. Many thanks to you.”
